Ever since we opened our gates we have approached life (and death) differently. While some just see the end of a loved one’s life as a time for grief and mourning, we prefer to think of it as a time for reflection, appreciation and even celebration. This is evident in everything we do, from the way we conduct our services to the amenities we choose to offer. We are not a burial ground. We are a close knit community dedicated to honoring, sharing and preserving the amazing and inspirational stories that are life.

Randy Hester
Manager, Funeral Director
Randy, 53 years old, is a lifelong resident of Marks, MS graduating from Quitman County High School in 1988. He is the proud dad of 9-year old Christian who is the spotlight of his life and who also attends Delta Academy in Marks, MS. Together, in their spare time, they enjoy riding four wheelers, fishing and spotting deer. They attend Marks Friendship Church where Randy serves in many capacities including church music director. Randy is excited to have served his community for the past nine years here at Kimbro Funeral Home and also in Charleston at Newsom Funeral Home and thanks everyone for allowing him to do so and continue to for many years to come in what is probably one of the most difficult times in one’s life. One of his all-time favorite scriptures is found in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Anita Sykes
Funeral Assistant
My name is Anita Champion Sykes. I am married to John Sykes. We have two adult children. Together with their spouses, they have given us 3 wonderful grandchildren. I am an active member of Corinth Baptist Church near Charleston, MS. Over the past 45 years, My job history has allowed me to work with the public in various ways. Those positions have included healthcare receptionist, assistant teacher position with East Tallahatchie School District, flower shop assistant, food service prep and chef, as well as church custodial work. I have been employed part-time with Newsom and Kimbro Funeral Homes since 2015. I truly enjoy my job and the people that I work with. Together, we strive to bring comfort and ease of mind to the families we serve in their time of loss.
Dawn Wilkins
Administrative Assistant
Dawn Wilkins, Administrator for Kimbro, Newsom Funeral Home and NuWay Cremation Services. I have Been with the company for 9 months and it has been a most rewarding position. I was born and raised in Marks MS. I am married to Tom Wilkins and have a son and two daughters and four grandkids who I love spending time with.
Jody Jones
Funeral Assistant
My name is Jody Jones. I am 81 years of age and have been employed with Kimbro Funeral Home and affiliated with Newsom Funeral Home for the past seven and a half years. While here, my job has consisted of many different positions. I am currently custodian at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks and relatively serve and help when needed on funeral services. I grew up in Quitman County and this is where I met and married the love of my life, Patricia Ann Weaver Jones fifty-nine years ago. Together we have two daughters, Patty & Sandy who have given us four grandchildren, Charity (now deceased) C.J., Samantha & Logan. I am also Peepaw to Christian and have two great grandchildren, Mason & Emery! I currently serve as teacher of a great congregation at our local church here, Marks Friendship Church. I am pleased and happy to serve the community I was born and raised in and greet many of my longtime friends during a difficult time in their lives.
Pat Jones
Funeral Assistant
My name is Pat Jones. I grew up in Quitman County along with my fifteen siblings and this is where I met and married the love of my life, Jody Jones fifty-nine years ago. Together we have two daughters, Patty & Sandy who have given us four grandchildren, Charity (now deceased) C.J., Samantha & Logan and I’m Meemaw to Christian and we also have two great grandchildren, Mason & Emery! I have been employed with Kimbro Funeral Home for seven and a half years now where I serve as Hostess and I also currently serve as church secretary at my local assembly, Marks Friendship Church. I am pleased and happy to serve the community I was born and raised in and greet many of my longtime friends during a difficult time in their lives.
